Each application has its particularities in terms of its requirements. Several applications require that records do not have gaps in data histories. To meet this requirement NOVUS has developed a system to avoid the problems caused by communication failures in different physical media: a cache memory system for data. This memory buffer serves to temporarily register the selected channels for publication that have not yet been sent to NOVUS Cloud, allowing all data to be published later, when communication is restored.

In an alternating voltage signal, the polarity of the voltage is cyclically alternated. In the same way, the direction of an AC (alternating current) current alternates cyclically. Although there are several ways of measuring the magnitude of the alternating signals, the most common and most useful is the RMS (Root Mean Square) measurement.
